The taxpayer-backed funds allocated in the settlement between Trump and the IRS will be overseen by a five-member commission appointed by acting Attorney General Todd Blanche, Trump's former personal attorney. Bypassing congressional approval, the fund could extend compensation to Jan. 6 defendants, conservative activists, former Trump aides and other allies who have faced investigation. "The machinery of government should never be weaponized against any American," Blanche said in a statement, calling the fund an effort "to make right the wrongs that were previously done." Seriously? Trump has continually weaponized the Department of Justice, and other departments under his perview, to go after his perceived enemies. This includes anyone who has ever disagreed with him, anyone he perceives as DEI, the press, politicians across the aisle and within his own party, etc.. To be clear, he has done this with almost complete support from the Republicans in Congress. Trump accusing the opposition of the things he and his administration are doing is one of his go to moves whenever he is scrutinized. This is a classic play out of the Nazi handbook and is designed to sow confusion. People may not believe Trump, but they also stop believing the people he accuses, even when they are not guilty of his accusations. The J6 CRIMINALS were not victims of the government weaponozed against them. They broke the law and were convicted by a jury of their peers, plain and simple. Republicans have to stop spinning and supporting constant lies to prop up this administrationand the MAGA movement. It eats away at your credibility like a cancer.
