I am writing to ask you to do your job and pass legislation that actually helps your constituents to have affordable healthcare. Republicans have complained about and undermined the Affordable Care Act for over a decade and you still have come up with no plan to replace it. This is the only country where you can go bankrupt from medical debt. Every other industrialized nation has a healthcare service, paid for by taxes. Americans pay so much money to for-profit insurance companies (thanks, Nixon, another infamous Republican), which do nothing but make it harder for us to receive good, timely health care. They exist solely to make billions of dollars for the healthcare executives and the Congressmen who take their “campaign contributions.” Normal people call them what they are, bribes. President Trump promised many times over the years that he would give us a healthcare plan “in two weeks.” He also promised to bring costs down on everything else “on day one.” So what’s your great plan? Healthcare premiums are expected to soar sky high in just a few weeks. Tariffs are a stupid idea and they are not working. Farmers are now begging for socialist subsidies because Trump’s tariffs are destroying the farming industry. Where’s the great Republican plans we’ve been promised? Republicans have opposed every progressive helpful idea in the past 100 years, including Social Security, Medicare and Medicaid, and the Civil Rights Act, among others. Your constituents are paying attention to the most unserious Congress and the most corrupt presidential administration in our nation’s history. You should be ashamed of yourselves. All you do is kowtow to the emperor who has no clothes, and allow him to waste billions of dollars, and amass a private army of thugs and white nationalists. I will remind you that you took a vow to preserve and defend the Constitution, not one man.
