Please don’t pass the BBB
To: Rep. Knott
From: A constituent in Youngsville, NC
July 1
I am writing as a concerned constituent to beg you not to support the “One Big Beautiful Bill.” This legislation disproportionately benefits the wealthy while imposing harmful cuts to essential programs like Medicaid and SNAP that many hardworking Americans rely on.
Moreover, the bill grants excessive power to the executive branch, undermining the system of checks and balances that protects our democracy. Supporting this bill would also mean backing former President Trump’s agenda, which I believe is harmful to the unity and well-being of our country.
Locally, this bill will remove health care, close nursing homes, and shut down rural hospitals in our state.
I respectfully ask you to stand with the people over partisan politics and reject this bill.
