While I admit that this correspondence is ultimately inconsequential with everything going on politically, I would just like to point out that Connecticut recognizes gender non-conforming individuals in one breath and then in the next forces us to select a prefix when we contact our legislators without providing a gender neutral option. We should either change our systems so that selecting a prefix is fully optional or we should include a gender neutral one such as "Mx."
