Stop Student Suppression Laws like SB1002

To: Rep. Mathis, Rep. Gutierrez, Gov. Hobbs, Sen. Sundareshan

From: A verified voter in Tucson, AZ

April 18

Stop Student Suppression Laws like SB1002 This bill would mandate that schools out LGBTQ+ students to their parents, regardless of potential safety risks. Such policies enable discrimination and put vulnerable youth in harm's way. No child should be forced to disclose their identity before they are ready. This is a violation of student privacy and needlessly endangers LGBTQ+ youth who may face rejection or abuse at home. All students deserve a safe, supportive learning environment free from institutionalized bigotry. I urge you to vote against this damaging legislation that targets kids for who they are. Protect LGBTQ+ students' rights and wellbeing.
