Support the Venezuela War Powers Resolution

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Rep. McClain Delaney, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A verified voter in Frostburg, MD

January 8

Congress alone has the constitutional authority to authorize war. Any U.S. military involvement related to Venezuela must be debated openly and approved by Congress, not carried out through executive action. Supporting this resolution affirms Congress’s responsibility to act as a check on unilateral military escalation. It also protects lives, prevents unintended conflict, and reinforces democratic accountability. I ask you to publicly support and vote in favor of the Venezuela War Powers Resolution. Please uphold Congress’s duty to decide when and whether the United States engages in armed conflict.
