You chair the appropriations committee and can speak up to ensure congressional appropriations are enacted as our constitution dictates! Or you can remain silent and allow the President to cherry pick where money goes and not give agencies money appropriated to them! In fact some members of the appropriations committee have spoke up but not you! You have the ability to speak up on behalf of Congress to take back Congressional authority to review and rescind tariffs! But will you? You have it within your power to vote no for the SAVE act that will disenfranchise millions of married women’s votes! This isn’t about ensuring the integrity of our vote! It’s about eliminating millions of votes! You have the power to speak out against the cuts in FEMA and NOAA as tornadoes continue to tear across Oklahoma! 5.2 million people protested this last weekend! Hundreds protested in OKC. They are mad and they are mad at Congress members who fail to do their job! While we all appreciate you managed to keep the Lawton social security office and the radar in Norman, it’s not nearly enough! We expect you to be a voice for us- not to play politics as usual! As life gets harder for Oklahomans, I wouldn’t bet that Oklahomans will see this as politics as usual! As farmers go bankrupt, people can’t put food on the table, folks can’t find work or lose their jobs and lose their Medicaid, I doubt they will see this as ordinary times! Maybe in the past, you could stick with party politics, but I doubt that will work for you now. But don’t take my word for it, just listen to what folks are saying! They are mad! They are demanding you go your job! Wouldn’t you say it’s time to speak up! Some Republicans are seeing the writing on the wall! They are speaking up! Those Congressional members have a shot at keeping their job in the future! Those that don’t, likely won’t even in red Oklahoma! No food on the table and no healthcare will speak much stronger than party politics!
