An Open Letter
To: Rep. Ciscomani
From: A constituent in Tucson, AZ
July 1
I’m writing to address something that’s been on my mind for a while now, and I can’t ignore it any longer. You’ve become so wrapped up in the cult of personality surrounding Donald Trump that I honestly don’t recognize you anymore. It’s clear to me that this movement isn’t about freedom or truth—it’s about unquestioning loyalty to one person, no matter how toxic or manipulative that person might be.
The rhetoric around Trump is not only divisive, it’s designed to make you distrust everything and everyone outside of his circle. You’re being told who your enemies are, who you should fear, and who you should hate. That’s not healthy. That’s not politics—it’s cult-like behavior.
The fact that you’ve completely bought into this, despite all the lies, the manipulation, and the clear damage it’s done to this country, says a lot about the hold this movement has over you. I don’t know when you stopped thinking for yourself, but I’m urging you to start again. This isn’t about “supporting a cause”; it’s about following a leader who demands blind loyalty and uses fear to control people.
I don’t expect you to agree with everything I’m saying, but I do expect you to think critically. You’re an intelligent person—you shouldn’t be brainwashed by anyone, let alone someone who thrives on chaos and division.
When you’re ready to see the truth for what it is, I’ll be here. But until then, don’t expect me to pretend like everything is fine. This isn’t just politics—it’s a dangerous mindset, and I can’t just watch you go down that road without saying something.
