I wrote asking about the war that the president has declared on Iran. I ask what the mission was, I wanted Congress to debate and discuss the ‘war’ effort. Copied here are a couple passages from your attempt at an answer on 6 Mar 26, “The administration laid out its objectives for the strikes: destroy Iran’s missiles and dismantle its missile industry, annihilate its Navy, ensure the regime’s terrorist proxies can no longer attack and kill our soldiers and allies, and ensure that Iran can never obtain a nuclear weapon. Ultimately, the threat is real. The Iranian regime has targeted the United States and our allies for years. It was time to take them out. I pray for the safety of our military as they carry out their mission in the days to come.” The president has said he wants to be involved in ‘selecting’ the new Iranian leader. The president has said he will accept nothing less than ‘unconditional surrender’. My question is what is the ‘mission’ and what exactly does ‘unconditional surrender’ mean? You state a few things but none these are not mission statements. Your statements don’t match all of the items the president expects to happen. I want an answer – you are sending troops to a war zone and I can’t get a straight answer on what exactly is their mission. I am a veteran; you prance around in a costume pretending to look like a military pilot – dress appropriately sir and take your job more seriously. And get your staff to actually answer emails, not just sent canned templates.
