Block Trump's Postal Service Voter Suppression Scheme

To: Sen. Kaine, Rep. McClellan, Sen. Warner

From: A verified voter in North Chesterfield, VA

September 2

Block the Trump administration's executive order weaponizing the Post Office against mail-in voters. This scheme — which has lost in court 23 times — forces states to upload voter rolls to a federal portal and mandates new barcode envelopes for every piece of ballot mail. If even one ballot in a batch of 10,000 can't be verified, all 10,000 get rejected. That's not election integrity. That's mass disenfranchisement by design. The logistics alone make this unworkable. Travis County, Texas already spent $21,349 on absentee envelopes it would have to scrap, and its supplier couldn't deliver replacements before the October 4 deadline anyway. A USPS whistleblower published by Sen. Blumenthal confirms the system is shambolic and untested, built under a declared "zero percent failure rate" that guarantees catastrophic failures. Judge Talwani has twice enjoined this rule. The First Circuit backed her up. The Constitution gives Congress and the states authority over elections — not the executive branch. Stand with the courts, stand with the states, and do everything in your power to stop this from taking effect before November.
