As your constituent, I urge you to use your power in the senate to support a JRD halting weapons sales to Israel. There is no excuse to support Netanyahu and Israel given what they are doing to the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank. Their Prime Minister has also recently voiced interest in supporting the creation of a “Greater Israel”. Supporting this creation is controversial because it would have to be done by taking land from Palestinians, Egyptians, Jordanians, and the Lebanese. The United States, much less Democratic lawmakers, cannot support this by continuing to support sending weapons to a country that is committing so much violence, and is potentially planning to spread that violence further into the Middle East. Doing so only proves to the American people that the Democratic Party is filled with nothing but a bunch hypocrites, barely any better than the Republicans. If you continue to not use your power to stop Israel from committing its genocide in Gaza, along with not stopping Israel from potentially attacking other countries in the Middle East, then I will have no reason to vote for you should you seek reelection to the senate. Virginia deserves a senator who cares about both domestic issues and international law.
