An Open Letter

To: Sen. Budd, Rep. McDowell, Sen. Tillis

From: A constituent in Kernersville, NC

February 4

DOGE access of sensitive, confidential student data is unacceptable. I am once again reaching out, deeply concerned about the steps being taken by Elon Musk and DOGE highly sensitive, private citizen data without any oversight or knowledge of how this data is being used or who is given access. As I am sure you are aware, student data is protected under FERPA, and this unauthorized access is a clear violation of that act. These continued assaults on the right to privacy must be stopped. It is the responsibility of our duly elected representatives to to protect their constituents, and these unchallenged and continuous attacks by unelected and unvetted private citizens must be stopped. I urge you to take all actions within your power to stop Elon Musk and his DOGE. clear DOGE access of sensitive, confidential student data is unacceptable.
