Today is day 13 of the government shutdown. You continue to fail your constituents and fail the American people. Every day the shutdown continues means families struggle to pay rent, buy groceries, and cover medical bills, while our national security and critical government operations are compromised. It is Congress’s responsibility to uphold its most basic duty—to fund the government—and it is shameful and unacceptable to continue to drag this out for political gain. Do your job and pass the funding bill.
