End this shutdown and pass Rep. Scott Peters' bill to pay TSA workers, the Coast Guard, and emergency management without adding more funding to ICE and Border Patrol. The restrictions Democrats are asking for are reasonable, and the alternative is chaos at our airports. Every airport in the country is experiencing significant delays. This isn't sustainable. The President's plan to deploy armed ICE agents to checkpoints is dangerous and won't solve the problem. ICE agents aren't trained for screening operations, and Transportation Secretary Duffy himself warned that more TSA workers will quit or not show up this week if they remain unpaid. Pass the funding bill with the Democratic restrictions. Pay the people who keep our airports running. The longer you wait, the worse this gets.
