Concern about DOT memo linking funding to marriage and birth

I just learned about a New DOT Memo that Directs Funds To Communities With Higher ‘Marriage And Birth Rates’. Also this memo ties requirements for law enforcement to cooperate with immigration enforcement if cities receive federal transportation dollars. Where do we receive federal transportation dollars? Where are the highest rates of marriage and birth in NC? This information is tracked by the CDC for now- how will this be impacted by the multiple changes being made to strip the CDC of sharing information and staffing? What is your stance of tying government funding to having children? Do you also have a preference for constituents who have children as compared to those who do not? Or those who have more children than others? Do these folks deserve more funding for road and bridge repairs? Where in the state of NC would get more money? How are you standing up for all North Carolinians to receive funding for safe roads, bridges, and other aspects of our transportation systems? Do you feel that this directive is more important than fixing the years long deficit in trained and supported air traffic controllers that may have contributed to the horrific and devastating accident outside of Regan national airport this week? If you do not, please express your opinion and stand up for the safety of Americans and North Carolinians publicly.
