States-Demand Action Against Unlawful Surveillance of American Citizens and our state New documents reveal that the Trump administration is actively spying on law-abiding Americans and pulling private financial records — not because they committed crimes, but because they disagree with this administration politically. That is not law enforcement. That is the behavior of an authoritarian government, and you need to act to stop it now. Protesting is constitutionally protected. Political dissent is not domestic terrorism. Labeling Americans as threats for exercising their First Amendment rights while secretly accessing their financial data is a direct assault on the Fourth Amendment. This cannot go unanswered. Every state should immediately investigate these surveillance programs, demand full transparency on what records have been accessed and why, and push for immediate legislative action to block any further warrantless collection of private financial information from American citizens.
