I'm a young adult who is concerned about what air pollution means for my future. Because of this I'm taking the time to write you today, urging you to pass legislation in efforts to reduce air pollution. The "State of Global Air Report 2024," published by the Health Effects Institute in partnership with UNICEF, reveals the disturbing truth about the costs of air pollution, including that almost 2,000 children die every day from air pollution! Tiny particles, called PM2.5, are causing over 90% of air pollution deaths. They are associated with lung disease, heart disease, stroke, diabetes, dementia, and miscarriage. And one necessary action to fight this pollution is to eliminate the production and exportation of fossil fuels. I am asking that you pass meaningful legislation to save lives of children and adults in our country and across the world. Please do everything thing you can to achieve this goal!
