An Open Letter

To: Gov. Stein, Sen. Hollo, Rep. Adams

From: A verified voter in Hickory, NC

October 11

Will you do everything in your power to prosecute the lawless federal actors who have conspired to place any of our State citizens in jeopardy using our private information to attack our right to vote in a fair and legal election? Democracy Forward discovered on October 7th through FOIA that the current Department of Justice and the current Homeland Security Investigation Department has been amassing weekly volumes of documents filled with our private information for the purpose of weaponizing ICE to violate the voting rights of millions of US citizens. If there is any hint of a violation of our privacy with any ICE agent in connection with voting rights, resulting in any legitimate American citizen being falsely accused of voter fraud, PLEASE use your State authority to sue all individuals involved based on violation of our state laws. Additionally, based on this blatant breach of security, PLEASE make plans to do a Forensic Audit of the 2026 election to guarantee that each and every one of our votes is counted accurately. Generally, a state audit checks less than five percent of our voter precincts to determine accuracy. Because of the federal corruption taking place right now, PLEASE increase the audit to no less than FIFTY percent of all voter precincts. Our Federal Government has proven that it cannot be trusted. Therefore our state must take more extreme measures to protect our right to vote. Please make a public announcement about your plans to secure our election which currently is still scheduled for November 3rd, 2026.
