End US military aid enabling Israeli apartheid policies

To: Sen. Van Hollen, Rep. Olszewski, Sen. Alsobrooks

From: A constituent in Randallstown, MD

April 12

Uncompromisingly demand an end to the $3.8 billion in annual US military aid to Israel until the Israeli government adheres to international law and ceases its systematic oppression of Palestinians, which numerous human rights organizations have labeled as apartheid. This military aid enables gross human rights violations against a population under illegal military occupation for over half a century, including the forced displacement of over 700,000 Palestinians since 1967 to make way for Israeli settlements considered war crimes under the Geneva Conventions. The Israeli regime's racist policies and disproportionate use of force against civilians have been condemned by the UN, Amnesty International, and Human Rights Watch. Without accountability, US taxpayer funds perpetuate an apartheid system denying basic freedoms and dignities to millions of Palestinians.
