The current funding proposal for DHS is nearly four times ICE’s annual budget from FY 2025. Combined with the $75 billion ICE already received last year through OBBBA, the agency will have received over eleven times its 2025 budget. As Florida voters struggle with high gas prices, out of control inflation, high unemployment, the rising cost of home insurance and healthcare premiums, Medicaid cuts, this Congress is giving ICE more money than all the other federal law enforcement agencies combined. You are spending money as if it’s going out of style, and none of it on services your constituents actually need. With midterms coming up, voting for this bill will make you appear completely tone deaf and indifferent to the real priorities of your voters. Please vote for NO NEW ICE FUNDING.
