senate_both I'm writing to urge you to vote NO on the SAVE Act.
This bill raises serious concerns about accessibility and fairness in the voting process. Requiring specific forms of documentation, like a passport or certified birth certificate, could create unnecessary barriers for many eligible voters. These requirements will disproportionately affect *me* because I took my husband's name when we married 35 years ago. Is that that what you want? To disenfranchise conservative women in traditional and enduring marriages like mine?
These requirements risk functioning as a modern-day poll tax and could undermine the voting rights of millions.
We should be working to ensure every eligible voter can participate in our democracy--not putting up new obstacles.
Please protect access to the ballot and vote NO on the SAVE Act.
