I will ask you again, are you okay with an authoritarian government that kidnaps people off the streets and ships them to an El Salvador prison with no due process? If you are, then you are as bad as the Nazis were. This country has a justice system in which you are presumed innocent until proven guilty. We didn’t used to have masked secret police who refuse to identify themselves, and snatch people off the streets. Trump is refusing to follow a court order. You need to urge the Trump regime to get Mr. Abrego Garcia back from the prison he was sent to. He has protected status. He is not a criminal. He is married to a U.S. citizen and is the father of U.S. citizens. Mr. Garcia was illegally kidnapped by Trump’s secret police. You and your fellow Republicans in Congress are complicit in this administration’s crimes by remaining silent. Do your job. Honor the oath of office that you took. Stop this corrupt regime from committing human rights atrocities. If they can kidnap someone with permanent residence and/or protected status, they can kidnap any one of us. You are only as safe as the nearest ICE agent decides you are. This is wrong. This is evil and you know it. Stand up for our democracy before it is too late. Trump, Vance, Bondi, Miller, Rubio, Noem, etc. should be tried in International Criminal Court for these human rights abuses. Stand up for the rule of law before we lose this nation to a dictatorship.
