We don’t ask much- just some honesty and assistance from our officials.

The strait of Hormuz is open. Closed. No, open. Wait, it’s closed. There’s a blockade only allowing allies to pass. Oh wait, China got through. The war is over. We need more funding for the war effort.
It’s exhausting.
Especially when you realize it’s all a sham. While Trump keeps you entertained with a war you never even approved of, the rest of the world collapses. Epstein predators walk free. Victims live without justice. Undocumented immigrants are raped and sickened and even killed in concentration camps on U.S. soil. Children are separated from their parents. They cannot even have crayons- “for everyone’s safety.” People are food insecure. People are healthcare insecure. People are losing their homes to foreclosures and weather disasters. Cubans die of starvation and disease caused by American trade embargoes and blockades. Ecuadorian farmers suffer land and crop loss caused by U.S. aided bombing of “cartels.” NATO has turned its back on us, and Iran continues to threaten action if Benito d’Cheeto doesn’t cease and desist. Social services are being cut. Our neighbors and friends and employees and laborers are being shipped out to destinations unknown. The leader of the country cannot string a series of words together to create a comprehensible statement, and even when he does, they’re all lies and deceptions. Scientists are disappearing and turning up dead. Weather emergencies are going unpredicted and unabated because there’s no funding to essential monitoring departments. Women are being charged with crimes for miscarrying their babies while government officials are being granted access to safe abortions that the rest of us don’t qualify for. Grocery prices are soaring. Gas prices are soaring. Airline tickets are soaring.
WE THE PEOPLE don’t ask for much. We’re ok with working. We’re ok with supporting our friends and neighbors. We just want some honesty and assistance from the people we voted into office.
