This message is to Congressional Republicans, but I’m sharing with all my elected legislators, regardless of party. We know the truth about the Trump Shutdown. We know that Republicans in the House and Senate refused to negotiate in good faith and left Congress with a day remaining in the budget. We know that Russell Vought is threatening to use the shutdown as cover for another round of unlegislated and illegal personnel cuts. We know Republicans continue to falsely claim that people without legal status (i.e. undocumented) receive free government healthcare. Trump refused to negotiate in good faith because that’s what his handlers told him to do. End this shutdown now!
