Introduce, cosponsor, and publicly support a "Single-subject" bill. Introduce, cosponsor, and publicly support legislation that would require that any proposed form of legislation must focus only on one main topic. There is currently no specific bill aimed solely at stopping the act of hiding secret provisions in legislation. Hidden provisions in a bill undermine our democracy. The goal is to avoid any hidden provisions that legislators or voters may miss when reading the proposed law. Another goal is to prevent legislators from attaching an unpopular provision ("rider") to an unrelated popular one. Introduce, cosponsor, and publicly support a bill that would require that any proposed legislation focus only on one main topic.
