Vote no on Todd Blanche's confirmation as Attorney General. A formal complaint filed by 101 former judges with the New York State Bar Attorney Grievance Commission lays out serious professional misconduct allegations — abuse of DOJ authority against political enemies, a botched release of Epstein documents riddled with conflicts of interest, and a settlement in Trump v. I.R.S. that 23 Democratic Attorneys General called a fraud on the court. These aren't partisan attacks. They're documented ethical violations under the New York Rules of Professional Conduct.
Blanche also reportedly carried out Trump's personal order to subpoena journalists at The Washington Post and The Wall Street Journal — with the word "Treason" scrawled in Sharpie on printed articles as the directive. DOJ eventually withdrew those subpoenas, but the damage to press freedom and prosecutorial independence was done. A man who uses the Justice Department as a tool for his former client's vendettas has no business leading it. The Senate must reject this nomination.
