Bring our Soldiers home from Washington, D.C.

I'm disappointed you chose to send our national guard soldiers to Washington, D.C. I thought you learned from your experience with the National Governors' Association how ill advised it can be to send Oklahoman troops onto American streets where the Americans who live there haven't asked for help. My experience in the OKARNG taught me to do a safety assessment. Recent events have taught us that ARNG troops are easy targets for lone wolf radicals who are likely mentally ill. Unfortunately he was trained by elite CIA units and the soldiers had no chance. Unfortunately, his work for our military likely contributed to his mental illness.
I'm also disappointed that you don't consider a mission that includes picking up trash beneath our well trained and expensive troops. Oklahomans shouldn't spend their taxpayer money or send their children to do a job for which the cops and others in Washington, D.C. are better trained and equipped to do.
