This war was not started because Iran was an imminent threat. It was started because Hegseth, Kushner, Witkoff, and Rubio told a 79-year-old man who watches four hours of cable news a day that it would be fast, clean, and politically useful. Trump said, “I just want to do it.” And now 50,000 troops are sleeping in hotels, the Strait is closed, oil is at $106 a barrel, and Iran is building a trap on a tiny island and daring America to walk into it. They are not desperate. They are ready. Kharg Island will be a bloodbath.
