I'm writing to express my concerns about the Trump administration’s ongoing interference with our election systems. I ask that you defend the state’s constitutional authority over elections by creating new state and national protections for Election Workers, Volunteers, and sites. New intensive election training needs to be immediately rolled out to prepare workers and volunteers for possible hostile interactions with ICE, DHS, and/or any other government agency. The training should also include how to prepare voters for election day, since there is a lot of confusion about what is needed and purposeful misinformation by the federal government. I would like you to create new state and national protections for election volunteers and workers. - People volunteering should receive a day off from work that is paid ( just like Jury Duty). -If a person volunteers to work the elections, this should count in lieu of Jury service for three years.   Election Workers and volunteers are the backbone of American Democracy and need to be treated with honor and respect. This needs to be done immediately and proactively.
