On October 7, 2023, Hamas attacked and invaded Israel, directly and indiscriminately targeting civilians. Hamas kidnapped 240 people into Gaza, and today more than 110 are still held captive, including women, children, and individuals with urgent medical needs. Eight Americans, five of which are presumed to be alive, remain captive. But in recent weeks, deaths of the hostages in Hamas captivity seem to be announced with greater and greater frequency.
Time is running out for the hostages.
As your constituent, I’m writing with an urgent request for you to use your voice and every advocacy tool at your disposal to help secure the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages held by Hamas. Here are a few ways you can help:
Continuing to speak out publicly about the hostages:
- American Jewish Committee has a compilation of the stories of the hostages. Their stories can be shared in statements and on the floors of legislatures.
Hang posters of the hostages outside your office:
- The Hostages and Missing Families Forum has numerous posters available: media.bringthemhomenow.net
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter, and any action you can take to help secure the immediate and unconditional release of all hostages.
