I write to express my dismay at the President’s imposition of tariffs in a slapdash and poorly planned manner. The President’s tariffs are already tanking our economy and destroying established trading relationships with much more economic pain to come for all Americans. I also write to state my opposition to any aid packages for agribusiness to mitigate the President’s foolish trade policies. Americans do not wish to pay more for almost all foreign goods AND to subsidize domestic goods. It is madness.
