I know that I reach out to you a lot, and have reached out to you before on this specific matter, but I am reaching out again because I believe that, even with everything going on, that it is the most important thing to be focused on. Please, please do everything in your power to block the SAVE Act. Whatever it takes. I, as a married woman who took her husband’s name, would be unable to vote. My father, a military member living overseas, would be unable to vote. My grandmother, a divorced woman who still retains her husband’s last name because she earned her degrees under that name, would be unable to vote. The SAVE Act is the single scariest piece of legislation I have heard about. It will not protect voters.
