The so called Big Beautiful Bill will hurt Louisiana. It must be stopped right now. We have tried tax cuts for the rich. They do not work. You need to stop this cruel dream killing bill. It will hurt the people you represent. First, this bill is a dream killer for young people. It eliminates access to Grad Plus loans for students. This means young people will be unable to pursue advanced degrees in medicine, law, social work, engineering, and business. Education is an engine of economic growth. It fuels the future and ensures that health and well being outcomes improve. Cutting off access to Grad Plus loans will kill universities and hurt young people. It will also hurt Louisiana. You need to vigorously protect Tulane, LSU, and our otherworld class universities. You represent the students, staff, and faculty of these HUGE employers. Save Grad Plus loans! This bill will also cut SNAP and Medicaid, driving Louisiana's poorest and most vulnerable people into misery. Louisiana us very dependent on Medicaid. One third of people of the state have Medicaid. Cuts to Medicaid will impact sick and elderly people in group homes and the many many hard working folks in our large service industry. SNAP is also key. 19% of Louisiana residents are on SNAP. Kids will go hungry and people will die unless you stand up against these cuts. You represent those on SNAP and Medicaid. No cuts must go through!!! These cuts are also not Christian. You need to be Christlike for once in your life and protect the poor, sick, and vulnerable. What would Jesus do? He would vote against this cruel bill! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
