Reject harmful restrictions on transgender care in Ohio.

To: Gov. DeWine

From: A constituent in Dayton, OH

January 20

The recent executive order and proposed restrictions on transgender care in Ohio pose a significant threat to the well-being of transgender individuals. These measures could effectively ban care for transgender youth and adults, preventing primary care providers from offering hormone treatments and imposing burdensome requirements without medical evidence. This approach is not in line with the majority of states, with only Florida attempting to deny care to transgender individuals of any age. Medical organizations widely support gender-affirming care. It is crucial to reconsider these proposals, as they endanger lives and interfere with the right to self-determination. The request is to uphold the rights of transgender individuals by rejecting these harmful restrictions. The well-being of individuals should be prioritized over unfounded regulations.
