You stated that your priority has always been protecting your family, and that protecting children must come before political considerations. I believe you. And that is the exact same standard I am asking you to apply to the Department of Justice regarding the Jeffrey Epstein files. Every victim in the Epstein trafficking network was someone's daughter. Every single one had a father, a mother, or a family who wished they could have protected them, and who is still waiting, years later, for someone with power to stop staying quiet and act. For years, the DOJ has slow-walked transparency, protected high-profile associates, and treated survivors as an afterthought. Protecting children cannot be a principle our leaders apply only when it touches their own household—it must be the standard we demand of our government every single day, for every child, especially those without a senator in the family to speak for them. As my representative, I am asking you to extend the exact same protective instinct you showed your own family to these families: - Publicly call on the DOJ to unseal and release all Epstein investigative files, flight logs, and records. Demand the immediate removal of improper redactions hiding high-profile associates, while ensuring victim privacy and identifying information remain strictly protected. - Demand thorough investigations and equal justice under the law for every associate, facilitator, and co-conspirator named in those files—ensuring that whenever evidence supports it, cases move forward to indictment and trial regardless of wealth, status, or political connections. - Push the DOJ to prioritize survivors over institutional and political reputations. Investigations and file releases must focus on accountability and victim rights under the CVRA, not on shielding powerful figures or government agencies from embarrassment. You showed this week that when a child's safety is on the line, institutional silence is unacceptable. These families are still waiting for leaders in Congress to make that same stand on their behalf.
