First, thank you for voting no on funding the Department of Homeland Security. Second, I am intensely angered by the betrayal of your fellow house members Reps. Henry Cuellar, Vicente Gonzalez, Jared Golden, Marie Gluesenkamp Perez, Don Davis, Laura Gillen and Tom Suozzi for voting with the Republicans to fund it. As I'm sure you understand, ICE is killing, maiming and torturing both immigrants and citizens across the country. I held out some hope that it might be stopped if funding was cut, but thanks to these traitors in our midst, ICE will now be able to continue its crimes unabated. To me, this stinks of a fault in Democrat leadership in the House. The country is in distress, and we need fighters who will go the extra mile. Frankly, I don't think Mr. Jeffries has what it takes. This vote is completely unconscionable. There should have been strong unanimity in the Democratic ranks. We need leadership that is willing to tighten some thumb screws when necessary to move the country back into the light. Keep up the fight. Thank you.
