Senator Budd, your responses to my concern about Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops to various cities is appalling! The rhetoric about the “violent crime epidemic” is nothing but propaganda that aims to instill fear. The cities that Trump is targeting are predominantly “blue” with many having Democrat governors. This is political targeting! Some of the most violent crime takes place Deep South and Deep Red states. Why is he not sending troops there? Regardless, the deployment of National Guard troops is a dangerous escalation of his power grab that you idly sit back and watch. Let’s also not forget his increasing threats of using American troops on American soil against American people. The people of North Carolina are smarter than this, Senator Budd. We know what’s going on. We see your words as nothing more than fuel in the authoritarian propaganda machine. If that’s not true, prove me wrong.
