I’m wiring to urge you to oppose the budget reconciliation bill and its harmful cuts to vital government programs. Specifically, I’m very concerned about cuts to Medicaid which my daughter receives, boosting ICE funding in light of the abuses of power I'm seeing, and the sale of public lands for fossil fuel production. I am also concerned about cuts to financial aid. One daughter graduated a year ago and another is in college now. There are a number of other proposed cuts that will weaken protection of our money and protection for judges who stand up against the Trump administration. Congress should pass a fair and responsible budget that helps working families and communities, not one that slashes our benefits to fund tax cuts for the wealthy.
