Clearly, Congress is responsible for doing nothing to prevent the destruction of the District of Columbia by the misguided ideas of the President . . . but if you are impotent to protect anything else--the East Wing, the Reflecting Pool, the Ellipse, the multiple other changes for the worse--at least PROTECT THE CHERRY TREES! It's apparently a myth that George Washington cut one down . . . and it's up to you to prevent the current President from cutting down the ones currently standing--and making memories for thousands when they bloom every year. ONLY YOU can prevent the "forest fire" from killing the beloved cherry trees! PLEASE, PLEASE PROTECT THE TREES!
