An Open Letter
To: Sen. Tillis
From: A constituent in Raleigh, NC
July 17
Senator Tillis,
I was deeply disappointed to learn that you were so easily satisfied with Todd Blanche's meeting with the Epstein survivors. Based on what has been reported, he did not genuinely listen to them. He was dismissive and condescending, offered no meaningful plan to investigate anyone beyond Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, and gave no indication that other perpetrators or enablers would be identified or held accountable.
He also failed to apologize for or accept responsibility for the disclosure of the survivors' identities. That alone should have been unacceptable.
It appears this meeting was held simply to secure your support, not to seek justice for the victims. North Carolinians deserve better, and the survivors deserve a real investigation into everyone who participated in, enabled, or concealed these crimes—not another staged meeting with no accountability.
Stop accepting staged meetings and empty promises as substitutes for justice. Use your office to insist on a full investigation that follows the evidence wherever it leads and holds every responsible person accountable, regardless of status or influence. Anything less is a failure of your duty to the American people.
