I have grave concerns regarding this thousand-page bill, specifically regarding these items: Page 602 proposing effectively nullifying the courts' right to hold the administration in contempt for ignoring court orders as well as limiting how the courts can issue injunctions and TRO's. This administration has demonstrated its willingness to flout the rule of law and defy direct court orders, including the 9-0 decision rendered by the Supreme Court ruling that due process MUST be extended to all persons on our soil. Page 291 proposes a 10-year moratorium on AI regulation, leaving us vulnerable to whatever is going to happen with this incredible new technology at the whim of the ultra-wealthy and powerful who will use it to their own ends and to the detriment of our freedoms. Pages 425- 443 which calls for massive cuts to Medicaid and Snap in YOUR very red, very dependent state! But, hey, the obscenely wealthy NEED their tax cut more than some hungry kid needs supper, right? Pages 487-502 which gives the green light to predatory, scam higher ed institutions like Corinthian to get right back to conning unsuspecting students into paying big bucks for useless degrees, as well as ending subsidized loans for undergrads, forcing more and more Americans to forgo the benefits of a higher education and contributing to the dumbing down of our citizenry. This bill is utter garbage. It is highway robbery, stealing the tax dollars of hardworking Montanans to siphon them directly into the pockets of the wealthy and the powerful. It is outrageous that you and your party REFUSE to stand up and represent your constituents. What are you doing in the Capitol? From out here in your state, what you members of congress are doing looks a lot like standing idly and cravenly by while the oligarchs help themselves to everything taxpayers are providing while destroying our democracy in the process. You seem determined to allow the social safety net to be shredded, to yawn while people's right to due process is ignored and they are whisked illegally out of the country, and to allow this president and his Project 2025 goons to have their way with all of us. For shame, Senator. For shame.
