Restore Internet Access in Iran

To: Sen. Crapo, Rep. Fulcher, Sen. Risch

From: A constituent in Meridian, ID

January 12

I am writing to urge immediate action to help restore internet access in Iran, where the Islamic Republic is violently repressing nationwide protests. Every hour without connectivity strengthens the regime’s ability to act with impunity. The Iranian people are courageously demanding fundamental rights: freedom, equality, and democratic governance. This movement represents a rare opportunity for democratic transformation in the Middle East, but it can't survive in total isolation. U.S. leadership and support are essential. I urge you to take immediate, concrete steps: press the FCC to fast-track global access approvals for satellite internet services such as Starlink. Restoring internet access will save lives now and help determine the future of an entire nation. Please act with urgency.
