Senator, you shamelessly posted to Threads yesterday about your continued allegiance to the security of Americans everywhere and your (unsuccessful but appreciated) vote to REIN (not reign for goodness sake) in the so called military adventures of Trump and his cronies. First of all, you do not post to social media your one and only attempt to stop a war that your lack of involvement helped to create. You do not get a cookie or brownie points for doing your job. Second of all, your usage of the word reign is an ironic Freudian slip, is it not? Because “reign” is exactly the king-type powers your complacency allowed to develop. And “rein” would indicate an actual desire to stop him. Third of all- where is all this enthusiasm when it comes to the American backed Israeli genocide against Palestine? Explain to me how you can identify as a democrat but support the mass deaths of innocent men, women, and children in Gaza? How do you sleep at night? I suppose the recognition, the fame, and the book deals have served to change you from the earnest humanitarian you used to be to the cutthroat stereotypical politician you are today. Step up, sir. Or step all the way down and let someone with a backbone and a conscience take your place.
