First, please ask the Congressmember to vote no on H.R. 1897 – the ESA Amendments Act of 2025. This bill would gut the Endangered Species Act, including by making it easier to remove endangered species designations and harder to create new ones. Why on earth would anyone support this? Vote no.
Second, I understand that Senate Republicans have put forth a budget resolution asking for 70B more for ICE and CBP. This is horrifying. These agencies are already wildly overfunded; meanwhile working Americans are dying—literally. We can’t afford our healthcare, utility bills, or groceries. But Congress wants to give more money to lawless and unpopular agencies? I oppose this with my entire being. Especially with no guardrails on ICE’s behavior. Vote no.
Finally, Congress needs to pass a War Powers Resolution now. End this illegal war! Thanks.
