My child participated in a Covid-19 vaccine trial for children at Johns Hopkins University, contributing their effort and literal blood to help demonstrate these vaccines are safe. Secretary Kennedy should resign or be removed from office for discarding this evidence by pushing for unnecessary new placebo trials. Proposing to no longer recommend routine Covid vaccination for kids feels like ignoring all the work done by young vaccine trial volunteers and puts children at continued risk of preventable illness and death from this virus. I urge reconsideration of policies that dismiss scientific evidence and undermine public health measures proven to protect vulnerable populations like children.
