WAR POWERS RESOLUTION

To: Sen. Alsobrooks, Sen. Van Hollen

From: A verified voter in Frostburg, MD

January 6

I am writing to demand you support the upcoming War Powers Resolution related to Venezuela. A Senate vote is expected later this week on a War Powers Resolution that would check presidential authority to engage in further military action in Venezuela. Congress has a constitutional responsibility to assert its role in matters of war and peace, and this vote is a critical opportunity to do so. I do not support endless war or military escalation without explicit congressional authorization. Diplomatic solutions, international cooperation, and respect for democratic processes must come first. Please stand for constitutional balance, democratic oversight, and the will of the people by voting in favor of this resolution. Thank you for your service, your reply to me, and listening to your constituents.
