Reject Save Our Bacon H.R. 4673. The bill aims to “correct” perceived overreach of California’s Prop 12, which puts humane treatment over pure profit. Prop 12 passed with 63% in a state with a large population, signaling that most Americans are in favor of increasing humane standards for animals that become our food. It was passed in 2018 and many farmers have already complied. Voting for HR 4673 will remove any floor for national standards, waste money for farmers who proactively complied and signal to laggards that it will be in their benefit to not comply again in the future. VOTE NO ON H.R. 4673!
