As I'm sure you're aware, the SAVE ACT is a voter suppression bill designed to make it harder for everyone to vote, particularly women. While pretending that it's designed to prevent "voter fraud", we all know that's not the actual intention of this bill. The SAVE ACT will make it harder or virtually impossible for anyone who has changed their name as a result of marriage to vote. oters are largely older. In Florida in particular, the demographics of republican voters are older, retired people. And while the republican party might think this is a great idea, it will help them at the polls, what you may have not thought about is that republican v People living in counties like Lee county, Duval, Miami-Dade, Lake county...the Villages who tend to vote red will face extreme difficulty voting for the ir candidates if this passes. Making it virtually impossible for older women in particular to obtain copies of their birth certificates and marriage certificates and divorce papers to prove they are who they say they are for voting purposes will hurt Republican candidates as well as Democratic candidates. Older, non-drivers without government issued driver's licenses will be unable to vote for their republican candidates. Before enacting this unnecessary, restrictive law that is clearly designed as a voter suppression bill, stop to think how it impacts voters of both parti es. This will not just impact one party at the polls. VOTE NO on the SAVE ACT.
