I urge you to co-sponsor and push forward the “Freeze Ice” Act, introduced in the House by Rep. Lizzie Fletcher of Texas. America has much to address that is being hampered by the unpopularity of the unlawful and cruel actions of ICE and the Department of Homeland Security. Yes, we must identify and deport those here in our country without our consent. Yet, current ICE actions including imprisoning children, shooting Americans who are lawfully carrying guns, and detaining American citizens. These are abhorrent and immoral acts, and are decreasing American confidence in the majority party. ICE agents should be better trained, unmasked, and focused on people who are actually in this country against our laws. Harassing Americans is hurting all of us. I fear that unless checked that we will have more bloodshed, and that once ICE agents feel unchecked that they will unleash their inherent anti-Semitism and begin to treat our Jewish American citizens with similar aggression, violence, and bloodshed.
