Vote No on H 4641

To: Rep. Bernstein

From: A constituent in Elgin, SC

March 24

I'm asking you to vote no on H 4641 and oppose it in committee. This bill threatens access, research, and personal choice for South Carolinians. The bill has been gaining sponsors rapidly, with eight members added since it was introduced in December. But momentum doesn't make bad policy good. H 4641 would create barriers that limit people's ability to make their own decisions about their lives and health. Research depends on access. When we restrict access, we don't just hurt individuals today—we limit the data and understanding that could benefit everyone tomorrow. Personal autonomy matters, and this bill moves us in the wrong direction. I'm counting on you to stand against H 4641 when it comes before the Judiciary Committee and if it reaches the floor.
